The debt i had was getting me so down. I called AMS because they were local to me and they were really helpful, they had someone out to my house the next day to discuss what they could do to help me and when he left i felt reassured. It was all set up for the next month and i am still on it today. AMS are really helpful when you ring with a problem i.e. received a threatening letter from a debt collector, there always there to reassure and keep you updated on your file. would definitely recommend to anyone with money struggles. I now sleep at night :)

After contacting my bank directly, then the citizens advice service and getting absolutely nowhere, I had resigned myself to the fact that the bank was going to get away with forcing me into buying loan insurance. I saw an advert in my local newspaper stating the services that AMS could provide. I made the call and within a couple of days a member of their team came round to my home and we discussed my claim over a cup of tea (very relaxed and informal). I was advised not to be bullied by the bank and I instructed AMS to go ahead with the claim. That was it, I didn't have to do anything else, all correspondence was dealt with by AMS and within a few weeks I received the PPI back. So fast and no hassle for me. They explained very clearly that the banks have absolutely no right to make people feel they won't get the loan without the PPI which is totally false. My husband and I had a good steady income and we managed our finances reasonably well until he was made redundant and we found ourselves in financial difficulties. I am glad to confirm that the awful rollercoaster feeling has stopped and we are now on the road to becoming debt free. After having a loan for five years and unknowingly wasting over a thousand pounds on PPI which I didn't need, I decided to put my case for mis-sold ppi through AMS. They asked me to fill in a few forms and I also decided to put a claim through for the PPI on my credit card. Nic kept me upto date regularly and if ever Nic wasn't there the other members of staff were always happy to help. I was assured that it was likely that I would win my claim, although I personally didn't think I had a very strong case. However, a couple of months later without any further needed from myself I received the good news that the bank would be repaying all the PPI paid over the history of the credit card and loan including the interest. I had two credit cards both charging me"Payment Protection Cover". I had never 'signed up' for this and it was just an additional cost that really annoyed me. I saw an AMS advert in a Glasgow shopping centre and thought 'why not?' It turned out to be 'dead easy' and totally hassle free. I made phone contact and was sent a simple form to fill in. This was posted off with one each of the credit card bills. Within a few weeks I had a positive response. AMS take 25% commission but they do all the work on you behalf.
